Sandy, Front Office
I started working in the Dental Industry with Dr. Lenz three years ago. I work in the front offices in both the Naperville & the Orland Park offices. I have learned many things about dentistry in that short time that allow me to make good decisions for patients. Most importantly, I have the privilege of being part of a wonderful, experienced staff that provides resources & knowledge at my fingertips. Helping patients is everyone’s priority. My prior experience in business, sales, marketing, management, entrepreneur, family & travel in many different industries has made me versatile & allowed me to develop into a role that helps keep the office streamlined. I am the proud mother of two grown children and Nana to two grandsons & a one-year-old Border Collie. I love to spend time with them, my three sisters, four brothers & my mom, usually watching a good movie together. I love nature & people. I like watching sports, taking walks riding bikes, and boating. I love all types of music; rock, blues, country, classical, jazz. But I really love to help. So I guess I have the right job! I am also a patient of Dr. Lenz. He’s been a tremendous help to my failing teeth & special needs.
Sarah, Registered Dental Hygienist
I grew up in Ohio and attended Ohio State University. I graduated with my Dental Hygiene degree in 1978 and have worked for Dr. Lenz since 1994. Patients appreciate my thorough, but gentle cleanings and friendly personality. I love the opportunity to get to know the patient and, most importantly, make a difference in their oral health. I enjoy traveling, cooking and Ohio State Football. I reside in Naperville with my husband and have 2 grown children.
Clare, Registered Dental Hygienist
After graduating from Podiatry school in England, I worked for the Calderdale Healthcare Trust for nine years. I treated mainly the elderly, but also children, special needs patients, rheumatoid arthritis patients, and tried to heal ulcers to prevent amputation. I practiced in a variety of locations: clinics, home visits, and hospitals. I initially moved to Indiana in 1998 for a three year job transfer. I moved to Illinois in 2001 and raised my children. I returned to college and graduated in 2012 as a Dental Hygienist. I also continue to work at the YMCA. I have now worked on both ends of the body and find oral health interesting. I enjoy the variety of people I meet and particularly try to make appointments with children stress free. As my dental care was very limited as a child, I want children to receive excellent dental care and education to keep their own teeth. Prevention is the key. There truly is nothing as good as the original tooth.
I am from the beautiful countryside in the North West of England. Having come from a country where dental hygiene was not available when growing up, I recognize the importance of education for dental health and the need to retain healthy teeth for a lifetime. I have two children, both living in the United States. My son is a senior at Iowa State University and my daughter is a senior at Waubonsie Valley High School. Some of my hobbies are cooking, gardening, cross stitching, watching detective novels and watching BBC dramas. I would love to be able to travel more!
Hanneh, Registered Dental Hygienist
My name is Hanneh (pronounced “ha-knee”). I am happily married, mother of two boys, and live in Naperville, IL. I’ve been working for Dr. Lenz as a dental hygienist since 2009. I graduated from dental hygiene school at Kennedy King College in 2006. Prior to dental hygiene school, I worked as a dental chair-side assistant for 7 years. As a person who practices a healthy preventative lifestyle, I chose dental hygiene as my career because I care about people and their health. I enjoy the everyday interactions I have with my patients. Educating patients on proper oral health care and techniques is of utmost importance to me, because a great smile definitely goes a long way. During my free time, some of my favorite things to do are rock-climbing, snowboarding, dancing, painting, yoga and spending time with my family.
Sharon, Dental Assistant
I am the youngest child of nine. When I was in 8th grade, my dentist’s assistant talked to me about her job and how she loved it. her influence prompted me to enroll in the Dental Assisting Program at Bryman after high school. I graduated from Bryman in 1984. My internship was with a general dentist and Bryman placed me immediately after graduating. I have worked with many dentists and orthodontists throughout my years, while raising my two daughters, Stephanie and Kaitlin. Stephanie has given me a grandson, Colton, and is about to add a granddaughter! Kaitlin is betrothed. October, 2016, I remarried. Bill has three grown children and a wonderful grandson. We enjoy babysitting and spending time with the grand babies and vacationing in Wisconsin and Florida. I joined Dr. Lenz in 2008 as a Dental Assistant. My favorite part of my job is seeing patients happy and smiling after getting their braces off and seeing their straight teeth.
